Clinical Supervisor (Part-Time with Growth Opportunity)
About the role
Connect Pediatrics is seeking a Clinical Supervisor for our McAllen office. In this role, you will lead new nurse orientations, complete in-home check-offs, assist in nurse/patient relationship management (including clinical questions, patient charting, and care in the patient home setting), and help build brand awareness to increase patient census. You will also demonstrate creativity in educating patients and caregivers, follow nursing policies and procedures, adhere to the plan of care per physician orders, and ensure compliance with Medicaid regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations, including efficient teamwork with staff and demonstrating organizational and time management skills.
- Support quality improvement practices and perform nursing procedures according to agency policy.
- Monitor patient reactions and progress using observation, assessment, and evaluation skills.
- Educate patients and family members on disease processes, medications, treatment options, and home care procedures per the plan of care.
- Follow Medicaid regulations and coordinate and monitor patient care and services.
- Comply with HIPAA regulations and infection control policies both in and out of the office.
- Document skilled care according to Medicaid guidelines and maintain patient records per policy.
- Participate in in-services, workshops, seminars, and self-study courses annually.
Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a current license.
- 1 year of direct patient care experience is preferred.
- Ability to relate positively and favorably with patients and staff.
- Strong oral and written communication, along with good documentation skills.
- Minimum of 2 professional references.
- Current CPR certificate from the American Heart Association or another approved source meeting AHA guidelines.
- Ability to comply with all policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook.
