About the role
Connect Pediatrics is hiring a Clinical Supervisor for our McAllen office. This role involves leading new nurse orientations, completing in-home check-offs, assisting in nurse/patient relationship management, and building brand awareness to increase patient census. The Clinical Supervisor will demonstrate creativity in educating patients and caregivers, follow nursing policies and procedures, adhere to the plan of care, and understand Medicaid regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead new nurse orientations and complete in-home check-offs.
- Assist in nurse/patient relationship management, including clinical questions, patient charting, and care in the home setting.
- Build brand awareness to increase patient census.
- Demonstrate individualized creativity in educating patients and/or caregivers.
- Follow nursing policy and procedure per agency standards and the plan of care according to physician orders.
- Demonstrate understanding of Medicaid regulations.
- Perform efficient teamwork with staff and demonstrate organizational and time management skills.
- Support quality improvement practices.
- Perform nursing procedures according to agency policy and monitor patient progress.
- Educate patients and family members on disease processes, medications, treatment options, and home care procedures.
- Coordinate and monitor patient care and services.
- Comply with HIPAA and infection control policies in and out of the office.
- Document skilled care according to Medicaid guidelines and maintain patient records.
- Participate in in-services, workshops, seminars, and self-study courses annually.
Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with current license.
- 1 year of direct patient care experience is preferred.
- Ability to relate positively and favorably with patients and staff.
- Good oral and written communication along with good documentation skills.
- Minimum of 2 professional references.
- Current CPR certificate from American Heart Association or other approved source that meets AHA guidelines.
- Must comply with all policies and procedures outlined in the employee handbook.
