Clinical Supervisor - Hospice Inpatient Unit Monroe FT

Department 39115 Atrium Health Hospice Union – Full-time, benefits-eligible position with 40 hours per week. Schedule includes variable days/shifts and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes an environment conducive to the delivery of quality patient care.
  • Assists with chart audits and ensures corrective action is taken; identifies trends and communicates results to Manager and team.
  • Ensures field supervisory visits are accurately completed according to agency policy.
  • Provides direction to staff, coordinating resources to efficiently support day-to-day operations.
  • Monitors and ensures staff productivity meets established targets on a daily basis.
  • Ensures timely correction of charting deficiencies impacting revenue cycle and clinical operations.
  • Participates in staff orientation through direct teaching, coaching, observation, review, and precepting.
  • Assesses educational needs of clinical staff and assists in developing and facilitating in-services.
  • Participates in field team interview, hiring, and selection processes; hires, coaches, and terminates direct reporting staff.
  • Coordinates and ensures 24-hour availability of field staff services, rotating on-call coverage with Manager.
  • Conducts ongoing process improvement in collaboration with the Manager.
  • Performs tracers/joint visits and provides ongoing feedback to staff.
  • Ensures accurate, timely, and thorough OASIS or Hospice Item Set data cycle time.
  • Collaborates with operational staff and leadership to grow and maintain patient and referral relationships.
  • Establishes and maintains quality standards, continually evaluating workflow and processes.
  • Develops collaborative relationships with customers, physicians, community organizations, and Advocate Aurora Health at Home entities.
  • Performs human resources responsibilities, including coaching, performance reviews, and staff morale initiatives.
  • Recommends hiring, compensation changes, promotions, corrective actions, and terminations.
  • Adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethical Conduct and ensures compliance with applicable policies, regulations, and laws.
  • Supervises clinical field staff, support staff, and assists with patient care activities as needed; acts as a clinical resource.
  • Promotes quality outcomes, patient experience, and team building.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state of practice, or Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
  • Valid driver’s license issued by the Division of Motor Vehicles.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Pathology.
  • Typically requires 3 years of experience in clinical nursing or rehabilitation.

  • Ability to solve problems and make independent judgments based on experience.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Exposed to a normal office environment.
  • Position requires travel, exposing the incumbent to road and weather hazards.
  • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.

Pay

Pay range: $44.15 - $66.25 per hour.
