About the role

The Clinical Supervisor at Mercy is responsible for ensuring that patients receive safe, high-quality, and cost-effective care. They collaborate with various departments to optimize processes and improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures efficient use of resources to meet productivity and financial goals.
  • Collaborates with administrative personnel, physicians, and co-workers to enhance processes across the continuum.
  • Ensures appropriate staffing levels to provide patient care.
  • Manages patient flow and bed management issues in collaboration with the Staffing Office.
  • Models professional standards, displays a positive attitude, and engages co-workers to lead change initiatives.
  • Encourages a supportive work environment by recognizing and connecting with co-workers through servant leadership.
  • Holds direct and indirect care providers accountable for professional responsibilities and adherence to policy and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited Nursing program.
  • Current RN license with the State Board of Nursing.
  • 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience.
  • Must have an American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within the probation period.
  • Hold certifications such as TNCC, ACLS, ENPC, or PALS.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates skills in human relations and communication, both written and verbal.
  • Shows clinical competence in patient care delivery.
  • Able to assess data and assist in providing appropriate levels of care.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to assess and manage patient care needs.
