Responsibilities
- Affirms compliance with CARF and all relevant policies.
- Assists in surveys, inspections, and funding processes.
- Evaluates clinical needs and develops training programs.
- Serves as a supervisor and facilitator for clinical supervision.
- Maintains timely and complete clinical documentation.
- Presents educational materials and supervises the clinical program.
- Maintains professional development for assigned staff.
- Maintains confidentiality of patient information.
- Maintains positive relationships with medical professionals and other healthcare providers.
- Assesses participant needs and ensures consistent, quality care.
- Communicates with leadership and addresses immediate concerns.
- Maintains caseload for census purposes.
Qualifications
- Master's degree or above in medicine, chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in administration or human services) or other related field, with 2 years of clinical experience in a health or human service agency, including 1 year working directly with the chemically dependent.
- Bachelor's degree in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in administration or human services) or other related field, with 3 years of clinical experience in a health or human service agency, including 1 year working directly with the chemically dependent.
- Associate degree in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in administration or human services) or other related field, with 4 years of clinical experience in a health or human service agency, including 1 year working directly with the chemically dependent.
- Full certification as an addiction counselor by a statewide certification body that is a member of the national certification body, or certification by another state government's substance abuse counseling certification board, with 3 years of clinical experience in a health or human service agency, including 1 year working directly with the chemically dependent person.
- Completion of a Department-approved core curriculum training course.
