Clinical Supervisor

About the role

Houston Medical Center – AMG Specialty Hospital is seeking a full-time Clinical Supervisor, RN for day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Authorized and designated by the Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) to assume overall responsibility for clinical nursing practice.
• Ensures continuity in decision making and consistency in nursing practice by assuring that nursing and hospital standards and objectives are met.
• Acts as a resource and support person for the nursing staff.
• Represents administration during any event occurring their absence.
• Embraces and demands a culture of professionalism and accountability.
• Fosters a positive milieu.
• Keeps CCO and CEO apprised of situations that may place facility at risk.
• Provides direct patient care as required based on staffing and patient acuity.
• Communicates with physicians/CCO/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition.
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

Requirements

• Current Texas Registered Nurse Licensure.
• ICU/critical care experience.
• Supervisory nursing/Charge Nurse experience preferred.
• Certified Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Certified Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Able to communicate effectively and positively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Addition languages desirable.
• Basic computer knowledge.
