Clinical Staff Pharmacist, First shift, Specialty Pharmacy

About the role

UC Health is hiring a part-time Clinical Staff Pharmacist for the Specialty Pharmacy Department at the University of Cincinnati’s Medical Center. We are offering a $10,000 sign-on Bonus.

Responsibilities

• Fills orders for medications
• Makes sure patient medication therapies are correct
• Provides information about drugs
• Supervises and directs support personnel
• Assumes essential responsibilities and performs duties of the pharmacy manager in the absence of the manager

Requirements

• B.S. in pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy is required
• PharmD preferred degree
• Licensed or eligible for pharmacist licensure in the state of Ohio
• ACLS preferred
• Greater than or equal to a six-month hospital pharmacy internship or hospital experience as a pharmacist is preferred
• Preference will be given to completion of a PGY1 pharmacy residency program (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)

• Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision
• Work cooperatively with health-system and pharmacy staff
• Handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule
• Set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond quickly to emergent requests
• Exercise sound professional judgment
• Communicate effectively (orally and in writing)
• Meet the pharmaceutical care needs of the patient populations served by UC Health

Pay

The actual pay rate for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, and other requirements for the position. The expected starting salary range for this position is between $60.27/hr.- $79.88/hr.
