Clinical Staff Pharmacist, Rotating Shift, Pharmacy
About the role
White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire a Clinical Staff Pharmacist who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. The Clinical Staff Pharmacist will:
- Prepare and dispense medications.
- Utilize pharmacy support personnel.
- Provide in-service education for physicians, nurses, and other practitioners.
- Perform pharmacy functions to ensure safe and effective medication delivery to the Nursing Department.
- Design, recommend, monitor, and evaluate patient-specific pharmacotherapy.
- Afford assistance in ensuring adherence to medication-use policies.
- Participate in the formulary process.
- Comply with all accreditation, regulatory, and safety requirements.
- Maximize work efficiency with the use of technology.
- Respond to requests for drug information.
- Ensure continuity of pharmaceutical care.
- Participate in the departmental performance improvement program.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Participate in the process for assessing, managing, and reporting medication errors.
- Manage time effectively.
Responsibilities
Qualified candidates will possess:
- A Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy (BS/PhD degree).
- A Current Maryland Pharmacist license required.
- Strongly Preferred: Minimum one year of hospital pharmacy practice.
- Considered: Recent graduate with minimum 2 years hospital pharmacy technician/intern experience; or non-hospital pharmacist experience, with counseling and medication therapy management.
- Supervisory/management experience not required but welcome.
Requirements
Work Schedule: Employment Type: Full-time Hours per Week: 40 hrs./week Typical Daily Schedule: This position is primarily a day shift role but will also require working every other weekend, holidays, and occasional evening shifts to support departmental operations. Day shifts are 8-hour shifts and typically begin between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM, depending on operational needs and assigned responsibilities. Shift Type: Rotating Day, Evening and Weekends. Weekend Requirements: Required every other weekend rotation. Holiday Requirements: Required Follow company holiday calendar.

Pay
Pay Range: $55.88 - $83.82
