About the role
This position reports to, and under the direction of, the Associate Chief Nurse Officer at Redlands Community Hospital. The role involves facilitating learning and educational experiences for nursing personnel through various methods.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates learning and educational experiences for nursing personnel through direct and indirect methods.
- Participates in onboarding and orientation of staff, competency management, and continuing education programs.
- Builds collaborative relationships and assists the Director of Education with program development and projects aimed at improving clinical and professional role performance, patient care quality, and cost.
- Models professional roles and behaviors that assist nursing personnel in acquiring competency, knowledge, and clinical skills.
- Demonstrates accountability and responsibility in clinical practice while adhering to the hospital's Patients First philosophy of safety, compassion, and efficiency.
- Functions as a change agent to improve patient care and supports interdisciplinary collaboration.
Requirements
- 2 - 7 years of nursing ICU and/or emergency department experience required.
- 2 years of critical care experience required.
- California RN license required.
- NIHSS certification required.
- BSN required, MSN preferred.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Current ACLS required.
- MAB is required to be completed on the first day of work. Existing employees must complete new requirements by 6/9/2025.
