Responsibilities

  • Promote Mayo Clinic’s core values and support community-based health care and integrated delivery systems through the sale of Mayo Medical Laboratories (MCL) tests.
  • Generate new business revenue and co-develop account and/or test selling and promotional strategies with clients.
  • Project annual sales growth, market dynamics, and economic conditions in collaboration with the CSR Director, Regional Director of Sales, Regional Managers, and clients.
  • Develop and implement business plans for territories/accounts.
  • Differentiate Mayo Clinic’s services from competitors and compel buying influences to move testing to Mayo and their clients.
  • Coordinate resources, develop presentations, and participate in the bid process for new and upsell opportunities.
  • Identify and pursue upsells to targeted clients with the help of Product Managers and the CSR Director, Regional Director of Sales, Regional Managers.
  • Negotiate pricing, coordinate contract development and execution, and monitor price lock-ins.
  • Field-based sales position requiring occasional overnight travel.

Qualifications

  • A 2-year commitment to the position required.
  • Bachelor's degree and three years' experience in sales, preferably within the market segment being represented (e.g., Neurology).
  • Excellent human relations, management, and communication skills.
  • Accountability, adaptability, flexibility, creativity, dependability, responsibility, and customer focus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Decision-making and problem-solving abilities, adherence to Mayo Clinic and MCS policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of regulatory issues, reimbursement issues, and service requirements.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record, along with the ability to travel extensively.
  • FACHE certification preferred.
  • Candidate must live within the listed territory to be considered for this position.
  • Exempt compensation.
