Responsibilities
- Promote Mayo Clinic’s core values and support community-based health care and integrated delivery systems through the sale of Mayo Medical Laboratories (MCL) tests.
- Generate new business revenue and co-develop account and/or test selling and promotional strategies with clients.
- Project annual sales growth, market dynamics, and economic conditions in collaboration with the CSR Director, Regional Director of Sales, Regional Managers, and clients.
- Develop and implement business plans for territories/accounts.
- Differentiate Mayo Clinic’s services from competitors and compel buying influences to move testing to Mayo and their clients.
- Coordinate resources, develop presentations, and participate in the bid process for new and upsell opportunities.
- Identify and pursue upsells to targeted clients with the help of Product Managers and the CSR Director, Regional Director of Sales, Regional Managers.
- Negotiate pricing, coordinate contract development and execution, and monitor price lock-ins.
- Field-based sales position requiring occasional overnight travel.
Qualifications
- A 2-year commitment to the position required.
- Bachelor's degree and three years' experience in sales, preferably within the market segment being represented (e.g., Neurology).
- Excellent human relations, management, and communication skills.
- Accountability, adaptability, flexibility, creativity, dependability, responsibility, and customer focus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Decision-making and problem-solving abilities, adherence to Mayo Clinic and MCS policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of regulatory issues, reimbursement issues, and service requirements.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record, along with the ability to travel extensively.
- FACHE certification preferred.
- Candidate must live within the listed territory to be considered for this position.
