About the role

Mayo Clinic Laboratories is seeking a Clinical Specialty Representative to join our team in Eastern Pennsylvania. This position is remote and requires a 2-year commitment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for promoting Mayo Clinic's core values and supporting community-based health care and integrated delivery systems through the sale of Mayo Medical Laboratories (MCL) tests.
  • Generate new business revenue and co-develop with clients their specific account and/or test selling and promotional strategies.
  • Project annual sales growth, market dynamics, and economic conditions, and co-develop and implement business plans for territory/accounts.
  • Sell and compel buying influences to move testing to Mayo and their clients by differentiating from competing interests. Coordinate appropriate resources, develop presentations, and participate in the bid process for new and upsell opportunities.
  • Identify specific tests or groups of tests that are differentiated in the market and pursue upsells to targeted clients. Negotiate pricing, coordinate contract development and execution, and monitor accurate lock-in of prices.
  • Field based sales position requiring occasional overnight travel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's and three years' experience in sales (preferably within the market segment they will be representing).
  • This position requires working from an office in their home located within the Eastern Pennsylvania territory, with no relocation offered.
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship and does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

Qualifications

  • A Master's in business, medical technology, or sciences is preferred.
  • Excellent human relations, management, and communications skills.
  • Accountable, adaptable, flexible, creative, dependable, responsible, and able to perform well within multifunctional environments, and be customer focused.
  • Ability to manage several projects or tasks simultaneously and to exercise appropriate judgment when prioritizing projects. Decision-making and problem-solving ability, adherence to Mayo Clinic and MCS policies and procedures.
  • Ability to function and work in a diverse work environment while selling MCS Services and providing direction to clients in a concise, sensitive, informative, and professional manner. Keeping a positive and courteous tone, particularly in adversarial discussions. Keeping abreast of regulatory issues, reimbursement issues, and service requirements.
  • A valid driver's license with a good driving record is required, along with the ability to travel extensively on all major forms of public transportation.
  • FACHE certification preferred.

  • Knowledge of healthcare industry and market trends.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical or medical device sales is beneficial.

Pay

$155,600 - $192,416 annually
