Responsibilities

• Driving Clinical Excellence: Serve as a specialist in high-stakes areas like nuclear medicine, oncology, and cardiology to ensure every medication plan is tailored to the patient.
• Serving as a Consultant: Act as a trusted advisor to medical staff and clinical leadership, providing real-time drug information and recommending formulary alternatives that prioritize safety and efficacy.
• Ensuring Patient Safety: Meticulously review orders to proactively identify and resolve potential drug-related issues before they reach the bedside.
• Leading & Mentoring: Oversee the technical pharmacy team and shape the future of the profession by serving as a preceptor for pharmacy students.

Requirements

• Licensure / Certification / Registration: Pharmacist credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Education: Bachelor's or advanced degree in Pharmacy required.

Preferences

• This position will cover both AMG Midtown and Saint Thomas Heart in Nashville, TN.
• Outpatient pharmacy experience preferred.
