Responsibilities
- Provides high quality diagnostic and initial evaluations for patients and families referred to the Psychiatric Mental Health Program (PMHP).
- Engages in treatment planning and delivery in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members involved in care.
- Provides evidence based/informed mental health treatment focused on goals and measurement of outcomes.
- Utilizes supervision, interdisciplinary consultation, independent study, and training activities to ensure on-going refinement of skills in case conceptualization, evidence based/informed models, clinical techniques and remain current on relevant literature.
- Provides timely and accurate documentation within the electronic health record according to professional, departmental and Institute standards while maintaining billing and productivity standards (as established by the department).
- Serves on committees and participates in training, outreach, special projects, and research activities, as assigned.
- Participates in implementation and monitoring of performance improvement/performance evaluation and quality improvement projects.
- Participates in the instruction and supervision of social work trainees as eligible within the training program criteria and approval.
Qualifications
- Must possess and maintain a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) license, issued by the Maryland State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Board of Social Work Examiners.
- Must receive additional training in evidence-based/informed models of care as driven by the current needs of the patient population served in the department/program.
- EDUCATION: Master's degree from an accredited school of Social Work is required. Completion of post-master’s fellowship or certification in evidence-based/informed treatment models preferred.
- EXPERIENCE: The candidate must have a minimum of two years of licensed clinical experience, preferably with children, adolescents, and adults with developmental, learning, medical and/or emotional disabilities. This experience must include at least one-year of experience providing evidence-based/informed therapy services.
