Clinical Social Worker / Mental Health Counselor

About the role

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker works with trauma injury patients to help them overcome and manage different mental and emotional challenges.

Responsibilities

• Meeting with patients to listen to their problems
• Diagnosing mental or emotional disorders
• Building treatment plans and coping strategies for patients
• Performing initial evaluations of patient needs and developing customized treatment plans
• Educating staff and patients on stress and trauma coping mechanisms
• Providing individuals with the resources they need to reach personal goals
• Monitoring patient progress and modifying treatment plans as needed
• Coordinating with social and medical agencies, healthcare providers, and community outreach programs to provide needed services
• Completing continuing education courses to maintain National Certified Counselor certification and stay up to date on the latest practices
• Delivering proficient language translation support as needed to ensure effective communication with patients and staff

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work
• 5+ years of experience with trauma patients

Skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Salesforce and EMR experience
