Duties and Responsibilities

  • Have a willingness and ability to work with the SED, DMH and DCF populations.
  • Arrange for the collection of relevant information regarding the family’s story, current situation, and family strengths and needs.
  • Support the completion of the modified CANS as well as other identified supplemental behavioral needs assessments.
  • Oversee the development of the Family Support Plan.
  • Work with all Family Members who are involved with the FRC; however, Family Members experiencing CRA-related issues are prioritized for services.
  • Make referrals to other resources, agencies, clinics and hospitals as needed.
  • Facilitate FRC family and youth groups.
  • Respond to reasonable expectations of Agency and/or supervisor.
  • Understand and demonstrate commitment to agency mission, values, and philosophy in performing skills specific to role.
  • Maintain all ethical and legal requirements of the Agency.
  • Must meet with the Clinical Supervisor for supervision as needed.
  • Maintains standards of confidentiality.
  • Focuses on understanding and meeting family needs.
  • Maintains positive work relationships in a respectful and collaborative manner.
  • Maintains good communication with others ensuring others have necessary information.
  • Actively works toward organizational improvement and professional growth.

Requirements

  • Must be a first year MSW Student Intern from an accredited educational institution.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a MA State CORI, SORI, & CPS check.
