Clinical Social Worker II or III - ED Float-Variable - FT

About the role

The incumbent is responsible for delivering social services, including psychosocial evaluation and treatment, advocacy, teaching, referrals to community services, and assisting as needed with discharge planning. They participate in case coverage and other necessary support for other social workers in the Department of Clinical Social Work / Care Coordination.

Responsibilities

• Delivers psychosocial evaluation and treatment
• Provides advocacy services
• Taught and supervises social work graduate students
• Assists with discharge planning
• Supports other social workers with case coverage and other tasks

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Social Work
• Current Clinical Social Work License issued by the Board of Behavioral Sciences
• Knowledge of and ability to work within a complex health care system
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to interpret and implement applicable standards and regulations

Qualifications

• Required: Clinical Social Worker II - Master's Degree, LMSW license, and 2+ years of experience
• Required: Clinical Social Worker III - Master's Degree, LMSW license, and 5+ years of experience

Skills

• Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
• Knowledge of applicable standards and regulations such as, The Joint Commission, DHS, and the Child Abuse Registry
• Ability to interpret and implement hospital, JCAHO, Health Department and Child Abuse Registry standards and regulations
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Customer service skills appropriate to the job
