About the role

The incumbent is responsible for delivering social services, including psychosocial evaluation and treatment, advocacy, teaching, referrals to community services, and assisting as needed with discharge planning. They participate in case coverage and other necessary support for other social workers in the Department of Clinical Social Work / Care Coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Delivers psychosocial evaluation and treatment
  • Provides advocacy services
  • Taught in formal and informal settings
  • Assists with discharge planning
  • Supports other social workers with case coverage

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work
  • Current Clinical Social Work License issued by the Board of Behavioral Sciences
  • Knowledge of and ability to work within a complex health care system
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
  • Ability to interpret and implement applicable standards and regulations

Qualifications

  • Required Qualifications: Clinical Social Worker II
  • Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms

Skills

  • Interpret and implement hospital, JCAHO, Health Department and Child Abuse Registry standards and regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Knowledge of and ability to work within a complex health care system
