Clinical Social Worker
Primary Function
The Clinical Social Worker provides social work services to the hospitals patients and their families to address psychosocial and environmental factors which impact their healthy functioning and/or recovery. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team providing direct clinical services including assessment, brief intervention, and coordination of services. Develops a network of community agencies to facilitate referrals.
Qualifications and Specifications
Master's Degree Required
Field of Study: Social Work or related
Experience in a healthcare setting or hospital strongly preferred
R.I. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
R.I. Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker strongly preferred
LCSWs must obtain LICSW within a period of 3 years from date of hire
