About the role

The Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for a teaching track position at the rank of assistant professor in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences. This position will serve a critical role in contributing to the CVM mission of being a world leader in veterinary professional education.

Responsibilities

  • Didactic and clinical instruction, focusing on small animal clinical skills as well as clinical reasoning and communication
  • Collaboration on scholarly activities such as research and publications (optional)
  • Full-time educator with up to 25% effort in clinical service and instruction of small animal emergency and critical care in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital

Requirements

  • D.V.M. (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date)
  • A DVM or equivalent is required as well as at least two years of clinical experience in small animal general practice or small animal emergency.

  • Excellent written and non-written communication skills
  • Commitment to promoting a welcoming and team-oriented approach to teaching
  • Ability to build meaningful professional relationships and contribute to a friendly and enjoyable working environment
