West Wimmera Health Service provides high-quality hospital care, residential aged care, disability services and community health facilities to more than 22,000 people in the West Wimmera region. We cover 9 locations across Western Victoria including Goroke, Murtoa, Rupanyup, Minyip, Jeparit, Rainbow, Kaniva, Natimuk and Nhill.
About the role
The Graduate Enrolled Nurse Program aims to facilitate the transition from student to Enrolled Nurse, providing the opportunity to enhance your nursing career, consolidate your nursing skills and experience different clinical areas. Graduates will experience a comprehensive caseload working alongside our skillful, friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary team. We provide extensive clinical supervision as well as generous support to undertake professional development. Successful applicants will work across sites as mutually agreed upon.
Responsibilities
- Participate in providing a high standard of clinical care to the patients/residents of West Wimmera Health Service.
- Adhere to the policies and protocols of West Wimmera Health Service.
- Strengthen relationships with customers to enhance the image of the Service.
Requirements
- Effective communication and organisational skills.
- Endorsed Enrolled Nurse with a current AHPRA registration.
- Understanding of EQuIP criteria (acute and community care facilities).
- Understanding of iCare, ACFI and Aged Care Standards (aged care facilities).
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
- Working with Children Check.
- Fully vaccinated (including influenza) as per current Department of Health Directives.
