About the Role
Promotes a supportive environment for academic partnership by ensuring appropriate student placement and a positive experience. Maintains clinical skills as outlined, including completing timely assessments, setting goals, and applying nursing knowledge. Teaches students during their clinical rounds, and pre/post conferences. Supports and enforces the course syllabus in collaboration with the course coordinator. Develops, designs, and delivers instruction in collaboration with the course coordinator. Grades clinical assignments and reviews evaluations with students. Serves as a clinical liaison between AdventHealth University and AdventHealth acute care units. Monitors and reports compliance with required documentation for academic clinical experience. Plans, implements, and coordinates activities related to training nursing students during their academic clinical experiences. Coaches student nurses and evaluates their performance in collaboration with the academic liaison. Measures, documents, and supports student competency, addressing any deficiencies. Participates, communicates, and serves as a positive change agent with academic liaisons and unit/department leadership.
Responsibilities

- Marks compliance with required documentation for academic clinical experience.
- Plans, implements, and coordinates activities related to training nursing students during their academic clinical experiences.
- Coaches student nurses and evaluates their performance in collaboration with the academic liaison.
- Measures, documents, and supports student competency, addressing any deficiencies.
- Participates, communicates, and serves as a positive change agent with academic liaisons and unit/department leadership.
Requirements
- Organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
- Ability to work as a team player within a unit
- Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's of Nursing
- Master's of Nursing (Preferred)
- Field Of Study: Radiology Tech program, Cardiovascular program
- 2+ years of professional experience in the discipline(s) being taught (Preferred)
- Previous preceptor experience (Preferred)
Skills
- Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
- Ability to work as a team player within a unit
- Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills

Pay
$32.76 - $57.47 per hour

- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) (Preferred)
