About the role
The Division of Hospital and Palliative Medicine (HPM) at the Keck School of Medicine of USC is seeking an exceptional Internist to join their team as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine in the one-year Hospitalist Scholar Program.
Responsibilities
- A reduced, hybrid schedule of days and nights, with a mix of Teaching Teams at both Keck Medical Center and USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center.
- Weeks on Team D, which has a lower patient volume.
- Inpatient clinical and teaching responsibilities.
- Participation in a 12-month mentorship program designed to provide tools for success as a Hospitalist, while also allowing dedicated time for scholarly work.
Requirements
- Demonstrated dedication to caring for a diverse patient population.
- Passion for teaching learners at various levels.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Enthusiasm for working in a collegial team-based environment.
Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine.
- Holds a current CA State Medical License.
- Holds a full schedule, fee paid DEA License with a CA address at the time of credentialing.
Benefits
- Salary of $230,000.
- Reimbursement for one-year Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM) membership and attendance at the annual SHM Converge conference.

This one-year fixed term position begins on July 1 and ends June 30 of the following year.
