Clinical Scheduling Specialist - Gastroenterology (On-Site Westfield Hospital)

Schedule

• Schedule endoscopy procedures generated from GI clinic appointments.
• Schedule cases from the endoscopy work queue.
• Communicate with endo schedulers, GI and endo team regarding pertinent patient information.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the patient charting system.

Submit Electronic Health Record Elements

• Submit electronic health record elements to payers in accordance with information security and technology requirements.

Aid Office Staff

• Assist office clinical staff with proper workflow to ensure accurate documentation to support quality reporting requirements.

Compliance

• Accurately review and document health care standards and follow written guidance to ensure 100% compliance with regulatory and financial guidelines.

Education

• Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior endoscopy and/or surgery scheduling experience or related experience preferred.
• Three (3) or more years of experience with physician billing/coding experience, previous patient care experience in a physician practice setting preferred.

Experience

• Minimum: Six (6) months or more Medical Experience or physician billing/coding experience in a physician practice setting.

Licenses & Certifications

• Reg Medical AssistantCert Clin Medical Asst
