About the Role
Provides direct patient care in a high-risk cardiology unit, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration. Participates in ensuring patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance while engaging in ongoing professional development.
Responsibilities
- Developing and documenting individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team and patients.
- Assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.
- Ensuring effective communication of care plans across the continuum.
- Maintaining a safe environment, adhering to standards of nursing care, and working alertly in a safety-sensitive role.
Requirements
Education
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Licenses & Certifications
- Valid RN license required.
Experience
- No experience necessary; less than 2 years preferred.
