Summary
As a Clinical Resource Registered Nurse (RN), you plan, organize, coordinate, evaluate, and provide guidance in implementing each patient's plan of care.
Responsibilities
- Develop the plan of care in conjunction with patient, family and others, utilizing community resources and systems;
- Collaborate with health team members to ensure a comprehensive plan of care;
- Use health promotion and health teaching methods appropriate to the patient’s developmental level, learning needs, readiness, ability to learn, language preference and culture;
- Evaluate by considering associated risks, benefits, costs, current scientific evidence and clinical expertise when formulating expected outcomes; modify expected outcomes with changes in the status of the patient or the situation; synthesize available data, information and knowledge to identify patterns and variances;
- Teach basic physical assessment skills appropriate for the patient’s chronological and developmental age;
- Guide others in recognizing and assessing the individual cultural needs of the patient/family/significant other and in developing a comprehensive plan of care.
Requirements
- Current New York State Registered Nursing license;
- For Operating Room and Ambulatory Surgery Center - CNOR or CAPA or CPAN certified or attainment within two years of hire into position is required;
- For Inpatient Psychiatry – Board Certified Registered Nurse (Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing) or attainment within one year of hire into position is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing;
- BSN preferred;
- Strong customer service, communication, and computer skills.
Education
- LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA); American Heart Association (AHA); American Heart Association (AHA), RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED); New York State Education Department (NYSED); New York State Education Department (NYSED)
Physical Requirements
- M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
Pay
- The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
