About the role
Part-time, night shift (7p-7a) position with every third weekend required at Exeter Hospital, a nationally recognized, non-profit community hospital serving the Seacoast region since 1896. Exeter Hospital is part of Beth Israel Lahey Health and offers comprehensive services across cardiovascular care, oncology, orthopedics, breast health, maternity, and more.
This role serves as a resource to nursing personnel on the assigned shift, maintains effective communication in carrying out administrative responsibilities, and demonstrates expert clinical skills and problem-solving in complex clinical situations.
Responsibilities
- Assumes responsibility for clinical management functions on the assigned shift.
- Models excellence in nursing practice through advanced concepts in assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing process.
- Demonstrates excellence in technical clinical skills.
- Responds to various departments requiring emergency and clinical assistance.
- Provides education to staff and acts as a clinical resource.
- Maintains knowledge of current nursing issues and health care trends.
- Represents administration on the assigned shift and refers issues to appropriate management staff.
Requirements
- BSN preferred or must be obtained within 3 years of hire.
- 3 years of clinical experience.
- RN license (New Hampshire or other Compact State).
- CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
- ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
- Clinical certification within 18 months of hire.
