Clinical Resource Nurse - Med/Surg Observation

Job Summary Provides direct and indirect patient care in various healthcare settings, collaborating with physicians, leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassionate care to maintain patient dignity and restore health. Performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritization, ensuring high-quality care and safety. Responsibilities Accurately assesses patients based on their medical conditions.Administers medications as prescribed and provides age-appropriate care, including basic self-care activities.Develops and evaluates patient and family education plans tailored to learning needs.Utilizes nursing knowledge to perform treatments and assist with procedures, demonstrating technical skills.Addresses psychosocial needs of patients and families, coordinating with social services for discharge planning.Practices cost-effective resource usage and promotes patient safety by minimizing risks.Prioritizes patient care efficiently and continuously engages in professional development. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 2 years’ experience in current or specialty unit.Graduate of an accredited nursing program.Computer literacy.RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.Preferred certifications include ACLS and PALS.
