Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator

About the role

The research nurse coordinator is responsible for coordinating the care and treatment of human subjects participating in Department of Neurological Sciences (DONS) research studies. This includes investigations of new medications or treatments for subjects with neurologic disorders, both inpatient and outpatient care, and the entire research process from subject recruitment to ensuring subjects follow the study protocol.

Responsibilities

• Critical coordination and management of complex decisions and regulatory requirements for each research protocol
• Necessary documentation of study-related activities, measurements, and adverse events
• May be involved in other DONS research studies such as research registries, PCORI projects, and studies on novel biomarkers, diagnostic imaging, and technologies to assess subjects with neurologic disorders

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
• Current RN license in good standing
• Experience in clinical research, preferably in neurological disorders
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple protocols and deadlines

Qualifications

• Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and compliance standards
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
