About the role

The CFCCC Stern Center for Cancer Clinical Trials and Research is seeking a Clinical Research Financial Administrator to manage the accounts receivable for a large portfolio of clinical trials. This role involves interfacing with business partners in the pharmaceutical, medical device, and CRO industries.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with business partners in the pharmaceutical, medical device, and CRO industries to administer accounts receivable for clinical trials.
  • Apply professional financial services concepts and organization policies and procedures to resolve a variety of moderately complicated issues.
  • Manage finances for oncology-specific trials and ensure timely payment of clinical trial funds to minimize financial risk to the University.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of financial processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of financial data management and reporting systems.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet and database software.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, analytical skills, service orientation, active listening, critical thinking, attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a high volume environment, organizational skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, sound judgment and decision making.
  • Ability to function effectively as a member of a team, adapt to changing priorities, and establish and maintain detailed and accurate files and records.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen and experience with complex business processes, demonstrated ability to apply and implement creative solutions to complex problems, and demonstrated high-level communication skills to convey information in a clear, concise, and persuasive way.
