Clinical Research Coordinator - Spanish Fluency

The Immigrant Health & Cancer Disparities (IHCD) Service has worked for over 20 years to identify and eliminate disparities in treatment among immigrants and underrepresented groups. Using a multidisciplinary approach, IHCD addresses healthcare gaps at local, national, and global levels through community-based programs that provide health education and services for medically underserved populations in New York City and beyond.
About the role
- Contribute to research aimed at improving language access for patients with Limited English Proficiency (LEP) by implementing study-related interpretation modalities and/or providing Spanish interpretation during medical oncology visits.
- Assist with participant recruitment, survey administration, in-depth interviews, data collection and management, and other study-related activities.
- Responsible for data collection, entry, and analysis, ensuring data quality and integrity throughout the life of the study.
- Collaborate with research and care teams across MSK and outside institutions regarding data input and study/participant updates.
- Generate data reports and deliver to all vital parties on study progress.
- Ensure compliance with all appropriate Institutional, State, and Federal regulations, including IRB approval of research protocols and completion of regulatory documentation.
Requirements
- Fluency in written and spoken Spanish is required (a language assessment will be part of the interview process).
- Experience interpreting for Spanish-speaking patients in a clinical or healthcare setting is preferred.
- A genuine interest in working in health disparities research.
- Experience in a healthcare setting or a community engagement role is preferred.
- Experience using data entry tools like RedCap is a plus.

Schedule
- Monday – Friday, 9 am – 5 pm.
- Flexibility to work shifts from 7 am – 3 pm or 10 am – 6 pm on an as-needed basis.
- Flexibility to travel to MSK locations on the Upper East Side and our Nassau Location in Uniondale, NY, Long Island.
Pay
Pay Range: $26.77 - $40.05 per hour. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt.
