About the Role
This position is for a Clinical Research Coordinator II within the Ophthalmology department at Cincinnati Children's.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage clinical research studies in ophthalmology, ensuring compliance with protocols, regulatory requirements, and institutional policies.
- Recruit, screen, and enroll study participants, including obtaining informed consent and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Collect, process, and manage study data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with investigators, sponsors, and other stakeholders to facilitate study progress and resolve issues.
- Schedule and coordinate study visits, procedures, and assessments for participants.
- Monitor study progress, track deadlines, and prepare reports for internal and external review.
- Ensure adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and institutional review board (IRB) requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, health-related, or equivalent field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical research coordination or a related role.
- Knowledge of FDA, ICH-GCP, and IRB regulations.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in electronic data capture systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in ophthalmology or pediatric research.
- Certification as a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) or Clinical Research Professional (CRP).
- Familiarity with REDCap or other clinical research databases.
