Clinical Research Coordinator - Family and Community Medicine

About the role

The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Family & Community Medicine, in Hershey, PA, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator.

Responsibilities

• Provide a level of operational oversight, clinic-level implementation, and patient-facing responsibilities (e.g., data, sample collection; trial enrollment, etc.)
• Manage research data and protocols across a variety of study designs and research methodologies
• Oversee daily project operations (budgets, timelines, standard operating procedures, project reporting)
• Coordinate with internal and external entities to establish contracts and agreements, and develop marketing materials
• Study management including database development, implementation, quality control, and support
• Experience with research governance, regulations, University policies, and Institutional Review Board (IRB) requirements & processes

Requirements

• Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree
• Work Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience
• Required Certifications: None

Qualifications

• Proficient ability with managing and coordinating multiple tasks and priorities in a professional manner
• Familiarity with quantitative and qualitative analysis software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, NVivo), and statistical analysis methods and report preparation
• Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Creative Cloud functions
• Familiarity with the University’s Strategic Information Management System (SIMS) and accounting procedures and systems (SIMBA) for reporting and budgets
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent writing skills, able to aid development and writing of literature reviews, IRB protocols, manuscripts and grants
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of programs, descriptive statistics, and Penn State COM IRB

Skills

• Ability to work independently
• Familiarity with existing internal Penn State HMC software (e.g., REDCap)

Pay

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $54,060.00 - $78,444.00.
