About the role
Bonus eligible up to $20k for experienced RNs and up to $10k for new graduates. Located in Central Virginia, this unit is part of Centra Health, a regional, nonprofit healthcare system with a Magnet® designation.
Responsibilities
Clinical - Assessment: Conducts an individualized patient assessment, prioritizing data collection based on patient's immediate condition or needs. Integrates nursing interventions into the multidisciplinary plan of care.
Clinical - Planning: Develops, modifies, and integrates an individualized care plan. Establishes individualized, measurable patient goals in consultation with the patient, family, and health care team.
Clinical - Intervention: Performs appropriate treatments and therapeutic nursing interventions. Recognizes potential problems and responds to urgent/emergent risks. Initiates emergency resuscitative measures.
Clinical - Evaluation: Evaluates patient's responses to care based on effectiveness of nursing interventions/actions. Initiates changes in the interdisciplinary care plan based on evaluation.
Clinical - Patient Education: Identifies learning needs and teaches patients/families. Ensures patients/families demonstrate knowledge of treatment.
Qualifications
Education: Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing preferred with Bachelor of Science – Nursing (BSN).
Experience: At least one year of nursing (RN) experience.
Licenses & Certifications: Registration as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia and/or holds a compact license to practice in Virginia. Basic Life Support certification required. ACLS requirements may be waived for 100% remote employees.
