Clinical Psychologist (Mental Health Consultant)

About The Position

This position is located at Irwin Amry Community Hospital in Fort Riley, Kansas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation position. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.

Responsibilities

• Apply biopsychosocial evaluations to propose mental health interventions.
• Provide evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive, and motivational approaches.
• Provide primary care providers and staff regular and concise feedback on the status of referred patients, to include recommendations for team-based care.
• Implement psychoeducational classes to target high frequency diagnoses found in the primary care clinic.
• Document information in the electronic health record during patient encounters.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Basic Requirement: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
• Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting mental health assessments; providing individual and group treatment; and working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Requirement: Current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction.
