About the role
This position provides specialized professional therapeutic programming to offenders in an alcohol and other drug treatment program. Incumbent is capable of performing all aspects of program content, including security, assessment/evaluation, psycho-educational programming, monitoring and reporting, teaching, training and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized professional therapeutic programming to offenders in an alcohol and other drug treatment program.
- Perform all aspects of program content, including security, assessment/evaluation, psycho-educational programming, monitoring and reporting, teaching, training and professional standards.
- Work in a Minnesota Correctional Facility (MCF) - Willow River with incarcerated individuals.
Requirements
- Current licensure or eligibility for licensure* by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or equivalently qualified to perform alcohol and drug counseling under Minnesota Statute 148F.11.
- One year of experience providing behavioral health services, including individual and group therapy, to clients with substance use disorders and/or co-occurring disorders; OR Master's degree in Alcohol and Drug Counseling/Studies, Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family, Counseling, or a related Behavioral Health/Science program.
- Knowledge of substance use treatment methods and practices.
- Knowledge of professional, legal, and ethical standards; best practices; and community standards of care.
- Skills in verbal and written communication, including proficient documentation skills.
- Interpersonal/human relations skills.
- Basic personal computer skills.
- Ability to provide substance use treatment; formulate and implement an individualized treatment plan; and develop a continuing care plan.
- Ability to teach a psycho-educational course; effectively function within a multi-disciplinary team; exercise sound judgment; and demonstrate appropriate professional boundaries.
Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Current licensure or eligibility for licensure* by the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) or equivalently qualified to perform alcohol and drug counseling under Minnesota Statute 148F.11.
- Preferred Qualifications: Current Minnesota LADC licensure at time of hire.

Pay
CPT 1: $25.67 - $37.26 / hourly; $53,599 - $77,799 / annually
CPT 2: $28.26 - $41.43 / hourly; $59,006 - $86,505 / annually
