Responsibilities
- Conduct orientation of new students to the affiliate site
- Participate in clinical orientation (on-campus)
- Maintain a schedule of student assignments at affiliate site
- Evaluate students on radiographic procedures and document levels of competency
- Provide image critique sessions
- Evaluate student performance and provide remediation as needed
- Monitor student progress and regularly meet with students for feedback and evaluation
- Participate in program meetings, in-service training, and other departmental meetings, including accreditation activities
- Compile data and prepare periodic reports as directed by the clinical coordinator or program director
- Arrange and conduct supplementary clinical instructional activities
- Participate in the accreditation and assessment processes
- Maintain current knowledge of professional discipline and educational methodologies
- Continuous professional development
- Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (at minimum)
- Current ARRT certification and registration in Radiography
- Current New York State Department of Health license and registration as a Radiologic Technologist
- Minimum of two years’ clinical experience in professional discipline
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication, time management, and analytical skills
- Previous experience educating students in the clinical setting (preferred)
- One year experience as a clinical preceptor or instructor in a JRCERT accredited program (preferred)
- Current ARRT certification and registration in advanced modality (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook (preferred)
