About the role
As the Clinical Placement Coordinator, you will facilitate clinical placements in the nursing program by collaborating with the Department Chair, faculty, students, and clinical placement liaisons at various facilities. You will ensure compliance with onboarding and credentialing requirements, including background checks, health/immunization records, and drug screens, using the ACEMAPP or other clinical placement database system.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with nurse educators and placement liaisons to develop and maintain clinical placements via email, phone, or in person
- Coordinate with the Department Chair to determine the number and type of student placements needed each semester
- Utilize the ACEMAPP system as required by clinical partners and GGC
- Attend clinical affiliation meetings, community professional meetings, placement coordinators meetings, and/or ACEMAPP meetings as appropriate
- Communicate with students to ensure credentialing requirements are met in a timely manner
- Interact with clinical and community agencies to plan and schedule student group clinical or individual preceptored rotations
- In collaboration with Department Chairs, manage student clinical placement issues as appropriate
- Perform additional duties as reasonably assigned
Required Qualifications
- 2 Year/Associate degree in nursing or related allied health field
- 2–3 years of relevant experience, such as clinical placement and/or clinical credentialing
- Experience in lieu of education will be considered
Preferred Qualifications
- 4 Year/Bachelor degree in nursing or allied health field
- Experience with ACEMAPP software
Pay
Proposed Salary: $38,300 – $45,900; Salary offer will be dependent on candidate’s experience and qualifications, internal equity considerations, budget availability, and salary administration guidelines.
