About the role
Provides direct patient care in conjunction with the Rural Health Clinic (RHC) staff to patients of the RHC.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality care to patients of the clinic by performing appropriate history and physicals, developing appropriate treatment plans and document clearly within the electronic health record.
- Counsel and educate patients (and family members) and schedule appropriate follow up.
- Treat patients in line with standards of care.
- Work in collaboration with RHC Medical Director, Clinic Manager and Advanced Practice Providers (APP).
- May act as a Supervising or Collaborating physician for clinic APPs.
- Participate in RHC staff meetings as well as KVHD medical staff activities.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Physician within the State of California, M.D. or D.O.
- DEA License
- Current BLS certification required

- Good oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrates interpersonal relationships in a manner which enhances communication, promotes conflict resolution, and facilitates staff development
- Basic computer skills
