Summary
The clinical pharmacy technician supports the clinical programs at the Fayetteville NC VA Coastal Health Care System. The incumbent provides administrative, clerical, and clinical support in inpatient, outpatient, and specialty clinics.
Qualifications
- Basic Requirements: United States Citizenship, English Language Proficiency, Education or Experience, Certification, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs), Physical Requirements.
- Preferred Experience: Inpatient/Hospital - medication reconciliation - and emergency department experience.
Duties
- Anticoagulation Clinic Support: Supplies management, POC testing, medication history review, compliance checks, DOAC renewals.
- Medication Management: Patient interviews, information gathering, comparison with computerized medical records, prescription review, order conversion.
- Hospital Discharges: Medication preparation, order review, label affixation, data recording, pharmacist oversight.
- Patient Aligned Care Team Support: Reminder calls, scheduling assistance, technology education, note monitoring, vaccination preparation and administration.
