Clinical Pharmacist Specialist - Infectious Diseases

About the role

The ID specialist position will join the ID PharmD and MD team to help support and optimize patient care throughout the UofL Health System. This individual will have opportunities to participate in rounds and practice antimicrobial stewardship strategies.

Responsibilities

• Medication order evaluation (to include but not limited to appropriateness and effectiveness) and verification
• Drug distribution support
• Techician supervision
• Clinical intervention
• Formulary management
• Resource for nursing and physician medication related inquiries
• Participate in the design, implementation, and monitoring associated with the provision of safe, effective and economical pharmacotherapy for all patients
• Collaborate with pharmacy leadership in the development and implementation of clinical pharmacy services
• Ensure compliance with policies and procedures at UofL Health
