About the role
Seeking an Outpatient Pharmacy Manager to oversee pharmacy operations in a community outpatient and retail setting.
Responsibilities
- Review medication orders for safety and appropriateness
- Ensure timely preparation and delivery of medications
- Provide patient counseling
- Maintain regulatory compliance
- Supervise pharmacy staff, including interns and technicians
- Offer clinical consultation to healthcare professionals
- Identify process improvements and safety hazards
- Support hospital and system initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency
Requirements
- Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
- Valid licensure
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws
- Strong communication and management skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in integrated healthcare systems
- Board certification
- Residency experience
This role involves approximately 10 hours weekly, with a focus on collaborative, patient-centered care in a growing outpatient pharmacy program.
