Clinical Pharmacist Outpatient

About the Role

An outpatient pharmacy manager role supporting community pharmacy services, focusing on operational oversight, medication safety, patient counseling, and regulatory compliance. The role involves supervising staff, ensuring timely medication dispensing, and optimizing workflows to enhance patient care standards. The candidate will collaborate with pharmacists and technicians, participate in process improvements, and uphold pharmacy laws and policies.

Responsibilities

• Review medication orders for safety and appropriateness.
• Supervise medication preparation, delivery, and storage.
• Provide patient counseling and medication education.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and documentation.
• Lead and support pharmacy staff and interns.
• Identify process improvements and safety hazards.
• Contribute to departmental meetings and initiatives.
• Review medication therapy and provide clinical consultations.
• Address operational challenges.

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Current pharmacy license and knowledge of state and federal regulations.
• Effective communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Immunization certification if applicable.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience in integrated healthcare systems.
• Board Certification or Health System Residency.
