Clinical Pharmacist Lead

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Clinical Pharmacist Lead to support safe and effective medication use within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Verifying medication orders and collaborating with nursing staff
• Managing inventory, medication preparation, and Pyxis refills
• Supporting medication delivery, patient counseling, and prior authorizations
• Participating in REMS programs and departmental committees
• Contributing to workflow optimization, policy development, and patient safety initiatives
• Supervising and directing pharmacy support personnel
• Evaluating medication appropriateness based on patient condition
• Providing education and serving as a liaison with healthcare practitioners
• Leading in policy review, implementation, and process improvements

Qualifications and skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
• Licenses including RPh and Medication Therapy Services in MO
• 2-5 years of experience; supervisory experience preferred
• Strong clinical knowledge, teamwork, and leadership abilities
• Ability to assess, monitor, and modify medication therapy based on patient needs
• Participation in educational initiatives and policy development
