Clinical Pharmacist Lead

About the role

This position is responsible for overseeing sterile compounding operations and leading the IV room team in a hospital setting. The role requires a hospital or clinical pharmacist with strong attention to safety, quality, and team management.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness based on patient condition and therapy goals.
• Manage workflow, supervise pharmacists, technicians, interns, and volunteers ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Develop, review, and implement pharmacy policies and procedures.
• Provide education and participate in departmental committees.
• Support medication use improvements and ensure optimal drug therapy outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy; licensure as RPh; 2-5 years of experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medication therapy services in Missouri is required.
• Preferred: Doctorate in Pharmacy, residency training, and 5-10 years of experience.
