Position Highlights
Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Process medication orders and prescriptions from physicians and nurses.
- Supervise technicians to ensure timely and accurate medication dispensing, optimizing staff utilization.
- Deliver pharmaceutical care for optimal patient outcomes.
- Contribute to quality improvement efforts through teamwork.
- Continuously update and document skills and knowledge.
- Maintain documentation for compliance with standards and regulations.
- Set personal goals to support departmental objectives.
- Provide age-appropriate care following guidelines.
- Foster a cooperative work environment through effective communication and teamwork.
What You Will Need
- Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.).
- Current state pharmacist license in good standing through North Carolina Board of Pharmacy.
- Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency or equivalent experience.
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Completion of a PGY2 Internal Medicine or Pharmacotherapy residency.
- Board Certification.
- Previous mentorship of pharmacy residents.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Possesses strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Takes self-initiative to innovate and collaborate with team members.
