Position Highlights

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Process medication orders and prescriptions from physicians and nurses.
  • Supervise technicians to ensure timely and accurate medication dispensing, optimizing staff utilization.
  • Deliver pharmaceutical care for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Contribute to quality improvement efforts through teamwork.
  • Continuously update and document skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain documentation for compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Set personal goals to support departmental objectives.
  • Provide age-appropriate care following guidelines.
  • Foster a cooperative work environment through effective communication and teamwork.

What You Will Need

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.).
  • Current state pharmacist license in good standing through North Carolina Board of Pharmacy.
  • Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have (Not Required)

  • Completion of a PGY2 Internal Medicine or Pharmacotherapy residency.
  • Board Certification.
  • Previous mentorship of pharmacy residents.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Possesses strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Takes self-initiative to innovate and collaborate with team members.
