Clinical Performance Improvement Coordinator

About the role

The County of Santa Barbara Health is seeking a passionate and experienced health care professional to join the County Health team. One (1) Full-Time Clinical Performance Improvement Coordinator vacancy is available in the Primary Care and Family Health (PCFH) division.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the performance improvement program of selected regulatory and compliance programs
• Develops quality assessment and improvement criteria to monitor provider staff and activities in selected programs
• Develops and implements data collection systems for analyzing and assessing the effectiveness of health and medical care and services
• Collaborates with providers, community organizations, and internal staff to develop quality improvement programs and identify areas that require additional attention or training
• Maintains accurate records and coordinates a variety of program activities
• Communicates effectively both orally and in writing
• Works independently and maintains objectivity and confidentiality during investigations

Requirements

• Licenses and certifications as per the employment standards
• Knowledge of medical terminology, regulatory requirements, health care practices, quality improvement standards, and office computer applications
• Ability to analyze program needs, develop strategies, establish working relationships, communicate, prioritize tasks, maintain records, analyze data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of professional-level administrative experience in clinical care that included experience in quality improvement and program performance improvement
• A combination of training, education, and experience that is equivalent to the employment standards listed above

Skills

• Technical writing skills, particularly in preparing clear and concise reports
• Strong organizational skills to coordinate trainings and actively participate in committees or special events
• Experience training staff on healthcare best practices and efficiency strategies
• Experience reviewing and improving policies, procedures, and protocols to enhance patient care

Pay

SALARY $119,267.2 - $143,892.32 Annually

Schedule

Incumbents will be required to travel within the County and outside the County.
