Clinical Patient Support Representative
Job Description
The Clinical Patient Support Representative plays a vital role by combining the responsibilities of a Medical Assistant and Front Desk Receptionist. You will work collaboratively with clinical staff and administrative personnel to ensure the efficient and seamless operation of our clinical offices.
Responsibilities
Medical Assistant | Clinical Support
- Aid healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and well-organized.
- Record patient medical history and vital signs accurately.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for analysis.
- Maintain infection control standards and ensure proper sterilization of equipment.
Front Desk Reception | Administrative
- Greet patients and visitors in a warm and friendly manner, providing a positive and professional first impression of the clinic.
- Schedule appointments and assist with the scheduling of any additional testing directed by the physician.
- Answer incoming calls, address inquiries, and direct calls appropriately.
- Verify insurance coverage and assist patients with billing questions.
- Collect payments at time of check-in.
- Review patient demographics, ensuring all data has been recorded, verifying accuracy, and entering the information into Practice Management and EHR.
- Obtain and scan patients' driver's licenses and insurance cards into Ntierprise.
- Absorb and link all required referrals into the EMR.
- Absorb and register patients in Phreesia.
Qualifications
Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of five (5) years front office and clinical experience, preferably in Urology.
Proficient knowledge of Medical Terminology; ICD-10 and CPT-4 Codes.

Physical Requirements
Regularly required to sit and stand for extended periods.
Involves standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, and twisting.
Requires full range of body motion, including manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
May be required to help to transfer the patient.
Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs.
Pay Range
$22.00 - $26.00 per hour.
