Clinical Patient Scheduler

About the role

As assigned: performs clerical and patient scheduling functions, data entry of patients for pre-intra and post surgical interventions, cardiac cath and other invasive procedures, non-invasive cardiac procedures and Endoscopy procedures; Completes daily reports, close of day processes in PHS/HSM, enters time and supply charges for departments under the business units covered by the department; reviews, processes, and audits charges through a variety of methods to ensure appropriate charge capture; Utilizes advanced customer services skills and acts as part of the team of caregivers by functioning as the initial point of contact for physician offices during the scheduling process and as necessary throughout day.

Responsibilities

• Data entry of patients for pre-intra and post surgical interventions, cardiac cath and other invasive procedures, non-invasive cardiac procedures and Endoscopy procedures
• Completes daily reports, close of day processes in PHS/HSM

Requirements

• Advanced education/training beyond High school in a related program (MA/Medical Receptionist, Medical Secretary, or Unit Clerk course)
• Working knowledge and familiarity with PCs and printers

Qualifications

Preferred: Previous experience in related office scheduling systems; Experience with PHS/HSM scheduling system; Previous billing experience
