About the role
The Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation, located in New Hyde Park, NY, is seeking a Clinical Orders Specialist with a background in community health, clinical orders, and medical coding to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Timely processing of clinical orders including both the Certified Home Health Agency and Hospice Agency.
- Processing information from OASIS and Hospice's Health Information System.
- Overseeing timely orders and information management.
- Managing coding and billing processes for the agency.
- Collaborating with the community health interdisciplinary team and liaising with finance and medical teams.
Qualifications
- Certification in Medical Coding.
- High School Diploma required; college degree in Health Information Management or similar field a plus.
- 2-3 years+ of prior experience working in a Home Care, Hospice or similar community health setting.
- Prior experience/proficiency in NetSmart or another EMR (electronic medical record).
