Clinical Operations Manager- NICU/Peds
About the role
The Clinical Operations Manager-NICU/Peds role at Indiana University Health combines clinical experience and contemporary leadership practices with the IU Health Way to achieve excellent outcomes. This role is accountable for translating and achieving strategic priorities and outcomes such as quality and safety improvements, care affordability, great patient experiences, and great team member experiences. The incumbent will lead an interprofessional team to create an environment where the team is empowered to achieve excellence in patient and organizational outcomes. This role also involves providing oversight of the unit, which operates 24/7, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Translate and achieve strategic priorities and outcomes for the unit, including quality and safety improvements, care affordability, great patient experiences, and great team member experiences.
- Lead an interprofessional team to foster an environment of excellence in patient and organizational outcomes.
- Advocate for and consistently embed evidenced-based practices and professional nursing standards.
- Provide oversight of the unit, which operates 24/7, weekends, and holidays.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
Requirements
- A Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) or Master of Nursing (MSN).
- Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
- Specialty certification related to nursing practice or leadership is preferred.
- An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
Qualifications
- Previous leadership experience.
- NICU or pediatric experience.

Schedule
This role is a fully onsite position Monday-Friday, day shift. Availability to round to evenings and weekends, plus on-call responsibilities, is required.
